Junior club football is the next step for children aged 12 to 18 to play football at one of our 18 grassroots clubs across the Northern Territory. At this stage of the football journey, parents and players can decide if they want to pursue advanced playing opportunities or continue enjoying community football competitions. Players at this age will start stepping out onto larger fields and matches become competitive, with results recorded and finals series hosted. Use the Find A Club tool or the banner below to find a local grassroots football club near you.
Senior club football is available for anyone aged 15+ who wants to play competitive football at the highest level in the Northern Territory through the Men’s Premier League (MPL) and regional premier competitions. Players can also choose to participate in social and community-based leagues across the Territory.
Football NT currently has 17 clubs across the Northern Territory offering football programs ranging from grassroots participation through to elite senior football pathways. To find a club and football program suited to you, use the Find A Club tool or the banner below.
Social Football is a modified, small-sided version of the game designed to cater to all levels of ability and fitness. For the time being, we are offering dedicated Over 35s and Women’s Social Football options. Stepping away from the commitments of traditional club football, this format is purely about enjoyment and offers a low-pressure environment for those wanting to keep playing.
It is the perfect way to stay active and maintain a healthy lifestyle. It also provides a great space to build new relationships, socialise, and connect with others outside of club land. Whether you are returning to football after a break or simply looking for a relaxed kickaround with friends, Social Football emphasises teamwork, a strong sense of community, and a lifelong love of the game.
