A fantastic few days of talent development and identification in Darwin, led by Football Australia’s National Team and Technical Staff.

On Friday 3 July, Football Australia staff delivered training sessions for our talented U14–U16 boys and girls, providing players with the opportunity to learn, compete and showcase their ability in a high-performance environment.

The boys then took part in a highly competitive Talent Identification match on Saturday 4 July, followed by the girls on Sunday 5 July.

Across the weekend, players were physically tested for Football Australia’s talent identification records, tracked using GPS technology and filmed throughout the matches to support future player assessment and pathway opportunities.

This was an important step forward for our emerging players and a great opportunity for them to experience the standards expected within Football Australia’s national pathways. We look forward to continuing this work and welcoming Football Australia back to Darwin in the first quarter of 2027. ⚽
